On the heels of the best holiday shopping season in six years, VDC embarked on our annual trek to NRF – Retail’s Big Show – to kick off 2019. However, by the time we arrived, the US Federal Government had already been shut down for 20+ days and there was a palpable sense of both urgency and uncertainty surrounding the outlook for retail in 2019.
