The Future of Smart Manufacturing
The proliferation of modern mobile devices, along with the grand influx of data that they both generate and rely on, calls for more reliable, flexible, and robust network connectivity to support them. The 5th generation mobile wireless network, or 5G New Radio (NR) standard, promises to deliver on the higher speeds, lower latency, and diverse device support needed to fuel the future of mobility. In this VDC View, we will explore the state of 5G as it relates to enterprise mobility in industrial manufacturing and the factories of the future.
