Following KION's acquisition of Dematic and Honeywell's acquisition of Intelligrated, two of the largest North American materials handling systems integrators have changed hands within the past month. Powered by the continued e-commerce momentum, these businesses have performed remarkably well, consistently posting double-digit gains.
Notably, Intelligrated will become an independently operating unit of Honeywell's Automation and Control Solutions business, complementing its existing mobile computing, automotive data collection and material handling solutions obtained through acquisitions of Intermec, LXE and Handheld Products/Metrologic.
