Embedded Software & Tools Analysts

Chris is responsible for syndicated research and consulting engagements focused on embedded software, hardware, and development solutions. He has worked with wide variety of clients supporting a range of projects including competitive analyses, strategic marketing initiative support, ecosystem development strategies, and vertical market opportunity assessments. Chris’s prior research also includes studies on multicore components and tools, operating systems, software development tools, and software/system lifecycle management tools, among others.

Chris holds a B.A. in Business Economics and a B.A. in Public and Private Sector Organization from Brown University.

Jared supports all of the Embedded Software and Tools practice’s major research programs and is a contributor on custom research and consulting engagements. His work includes coverage of embedded operating systems, software development tools, modeling and test tools, and more. Prior to joining VDC, Jared was a research analyst at Eduventures, Inc., where he developed and conducted custom research projects for colleges and universities nationwide in the area of enrollment management. He has additional research experience in education and financial services. Jared received an MBA from Babson College in 2007, and graduated from Bentley College in 2002 with a BS in Information Design and Corporate Communication.

André brings valuable perspective to the market research and consulting of the Embedded Software and Tools team, having previously worked in both VDC’s Telecom and Embedded Hardware practices as well as gaining important experience at Smarter Grid Consulting. His wide-ranging background includes opportunity sizing and forecasting, market and technology assessments, competitive analysis, strategic marketing assistance, and M&A due diligence support. André has conducted research studies involving software and system lifecycle management tools, communications hardware and software, embedded boards and systems, smart grid technologies, and mobility solutions. Prior to joining VDC, André held positions in management, account development, and network operations at a number of telecommunications service providers and engineering firms including Genuity, Global Crossing, HarvardNet, and Henkels & McCoy.

André holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Philosophy and a B.A. in Sociology from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

Daniel works as a Research Associate in the Embedded Hardware and Embedded Software practices at VDC, where he supports both syndicated research and custom engagements. Prior to joining VDC in a full time capacity, Daniel worked as a Business Development intern while pursuing his Bachelor's degree. Daniel holds a B.S. in Management, concentration in Information Systems, from Bridgewater State University.
