Industrial Sensing, Networking & Control Analysts

Tim is a 13 year veteran of VDC Research Group with extensive experience in all operational areas of the company – research, sales and business development. Tim’s experience as an Analyst who authored, and/or contributed to, over 25 market studies on topics covering industrial automation: HMI solutions, sensors and controllers, industrial networking and wireless connectivity, industrial computing, data acquisition products; power protection: UPS and surge suppressors; and enterprise mobile computing: rugged mobile computing, enterprise mobile computing solutions, TCO analysis of mobile computing platforms, and wearable technology affords him the unique ability to develop a deep understanding the critical issues impacting the dynamics of any product or technology market and the analytical skills and business acumen to develop and publish highly actionable market intelligence.  Prior to working for VDC, Tim had several sales and marketing positions in the utilities segment.  Tim is a graduate of Bentley University (BS, Marketing) and the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College (MBA). 

David is responsible for supporting VDC’s market research and custom consulting initiatives relative to emerging global opportunities, regional growth strategies, and market intelligence for industrial automation and control, systems components, technologies, services, and related applications across multiple vertical markets. Prior to joining VDC Research, David accumulated over 30 years of Semiconductor industry experience working at Teradyne Inc. and its worldwide customers. David held multiple positions in support, engineering, IT and management including project and support product management. David was a key leader in Teradyne’s adoption and implementation of remote support technologies. David earned an MBA degree (Summa cum Laude) from the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and an undergraduate degree in Electronic Systems Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute.  David is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.

Courtney has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing to senior level executives. She maintains a proven ability to extract real needs from clients and to formulate strategies to affect positive change. Prior to joining VDC, Courtney was Director of New Ventures for DALBAR Inc., where she was responsible for the development and sales of complex syndicated and proprietary service programs and research primarily to the financial services industry.  At VDC Courtney is responsible for business development and key account management in VDC’s Industrial Automation and Embedded Hardware & Software Practices. Courtney is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
