VDC Research's Mobile & Wireless practice recently conducted fieldwork to measure attitudes and perceptions of IT decision-makers towards mobile managed services. While over 90% of respondents indicated enterprise support of mobile access to basic enterprise applications (e.g. email, contacts, and calendar), support of sophisticated enterprise applications is much more limited .This will change as we see organizations increasingly turn to third parties for a broad range of mobility solutions on a pay-as-you-go basis via a managed services delivery model.
