In the past, VDC has advised suppliers of automated test and verification tools to primarily target end users at the engineer level. However, market pressures on software development organizations are driving the use of more sophisticated lifecycle management tools that can have greater impact on development processes. A nascent shift in test tool procurement decisions is underway from this consideration.
