The second half of 2011 has been defined by significant activity in the NFC market. On the supply side, chipset manufacturers have announced record shipments of NFC modules, while most major handset OEMs have released or announced NFC smartphones. Likewise, Payment Terminal manufacturers and other contactless infrastructure suppliers report significant enterprise interest in hardware capable of supporting a range of contactless NFC applications.
